Practice Description: My philosophy, as a mental health professional, encompasses a holistic approach that prioritizes the well-being and empowerment of individuals while recognizing the interconnectedness of mind, body, and spirit. Here are my key principles entering into working with anyone:

I utilize a holistic approach. This philosophy acknowledges that mental health is influenced by various factors including biological, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual aspects. It emphasizes understanding the whole person rather than focusing solely on symptoms or diagnoses. I prioritize the individual needs, preferences, and strengths of the people who I work with and treat. I will work collaboratively with you to set goals, explore values, and develop personalized plans of action that align with your unique circumstances.

Instead of pathologizing individuals, we will identify together and build upon your strengths, resilience, and resources. One of my goals for you is to foster a sense of empowerment and self-efficacy, enabling you to actively participate in your own healing and growth. While honoring your individuality, I will integrate empirically supported interventions and therapeutic modalities into treatment. And in addition to addressing symptoms, I emphasize promoting overall well-being and preventing mental health problems before they escalate. The latter encompasses education, skill-building, lifestyle modifications, and early intervention strategies aimed at enhancing resilience and maintaining mental wellness.

Lastly, and above all, I ground myself with ethical principles such as confidentiality, informed consent, boundary management, and respect for autonomy. I maintain the highest standards of professionalism and integrity in my interactions with you and in the broader community.
