Online Support Groups

  • CHADD’s e-Communities - Established and maintained to encourage open, useful exchange of information for and by people affected by AD/HD.
  • Parents of Children with ADHD Support Group - An open forum where the parents and guardians of children with ADHD (Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder) can give and receive support, as well as discuss ideas, techniques, concerns, surprises, and challenges they may face with their children.
  • Support Forum for Parents on ConductDisorders.com - Online community of parents supporting each other while raising children that are oppositional and resistant to parenting. Offers a "soft place to land for the battle-weary parent."
  • The Compassionate Friends Online Support Community - Established to encourage connecting and sharing among parents, grandparents, and siblings (over the age of 18) grieving the death of a child.
  • WebMD Parenting Exchange - WebMD-moderated discussions with featured experts regarding parenting.

Local Support Groups

  • Children and Adults with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (CHADD) - A national non-profit organization providing education, advocacy and support for individuals with AD/HD. Offers free monthly support group meetings, special events and conferences, local resource information, public education and outreach, and parent to parent training classes.
  • Compassionate Friends - Supporting Family After a Child Dies - Through a network of more than 625 chapters with locations in all 50 states, as well as Washington DC and Puerto Rico, The Compassionate Friends has been supporting bereaved families after the death of a child for four decades.
  • Parents Without Partners - Nonprofit membership organization devoted to the welfare and interests of single parents and their children. Single parents may join one of the many chapters around the US and Canada.
