Practice Description: |
At AE Therapy, I believe that healing begins with feeling truly seen and heard. My practice is grounded in a compassionate, collaborative, and culturally responsive approach that supports individuals in navigating life’s transitions and challenges. Whether you’re facing stress, anxiety, cultural adjustment, or navigating relationships, I provide a safe and inclusive space to explore your concerns and build meaningful solutions.
With over a decade of experience in social services across different countries, I bring a global perspective to my work, helping newcomers, women, and individuals facing mental health challenges find their path to resilience and empowerment. I integrate evidence-based approaches such as narrative therapy, EMDR, and mindfulness, tailoring each session to meet your unique needs and goals.
As someone living with Type 1 diabetes, I understand the emotional and psychological complexities of managing a chronic illness. This personal experience allows me to provide unique insights and support to individuals navigating the challenges of health management, self-care, and emotional well-being while balancing the demands of everyday life.
My background in social work, combined with my experience in human resources and leadership development, allows me to support clients through career transitions and workplace challenges with insight and empathy. I am committed to an anti-oppressive, trauma-informed framework that prioritizes your well-being and fosters personal growth.
AE Therapy offers flexible options to make therapy accessible, including virtual sessions and in-person appointments in Burlington, Ontario. I am dedicated to supporting you at your own pace, empowering you to take meaningful steps toward a healthier, more fulfilling life.
