Practice Description: |
Life’s challenges can often seem overwhelming, but within each of us lies a remarkable capacity for healing and growth. Ansley Hitson believes in the power of natural resilience – a profound inner strength that can be harnessed to overcome obstacles and thrive. Recognizing that our lives do not unfold in isolation, she understands that healing is most effective when nurtured by a non-judgmental, empathetic, and optimistic support system.
Ansley's approach centers on empowering clients with the tools they need to actualize their resilience, while fostering positive, lasting changes. She is dedicated to supporting her clients on their journey toward health, wholeness, and a brighter future.
Ansley holds a Master of Science Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of North Florida. She also earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology with a Specialization in Behavioral and Cognitive Neuroscience, which she received from the University of Florida. She has furthered her expertise with a Graduate Certificate in Animal Assisted Therapy from the University of North Florida and a Certificate in Mindfulness from the University of Central Florida, along with Spiritual Competency Training from the University of Maryland edX. Ansley utilizes techniques from dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), person-centered therapy, cognitive-behavior therapy (CBT), existential theory, and experiential therapy.
Ansley has dedicated the past 8 years to guiding individuals on their diverse healing and growth journeys. With extensive experience across various levels of care, she has supported clients of all ages with challenges related to eating disorders, developmental and intellectual differences, ADHD, personality disorders, anxiety, depression, and a wide range of other issues. Her commitment to fostering resilience and personal growth has made a meaningful impact on the lives of those she serves.
