Practice Description: |
I've been doing therapy for 40+ years, always trying to listen as closely as possible to the feeling experience of the client and helping the client to put his/her understanding in perspective. I am an eclectic therapist, integrating some of the most powerful features of insight-oriented approaches, while at times also using cognitive-behavioral strategies. I tend to be an active therapist, and I try to help the client who is "stuck" in a rut.
I find the work very meaningful and consider it a privilege to participate in the collaborative effort together.
I have been in private practice for 40+ years. I have also worked at a variety of outpatient settings in the Boston area, including 12 years at the Boston Institute for Psychotherapy, 2 years at the Brighton-Allston Mental Health Center, 8 years at the Center for Problem Gambling at Mt. Auburn Hospital, 8 years at Family Service of Greater Boston (in Lexington and Needham), and two years at the Brandeis University Psychological Counseling Center.
