There is a Native American saying that says the longest journey we will ever take is the 18 inches from our head to our heart. I can help you find that path back to your authentic self. I work with individuals and couples with anxiety, trauma, attachment issues, perfectionism, relationship issues, obsessive-compulsive disorder, post-partum depression, co-dependency, grief, sexual abuse, low self-esteem, adoption, family of origin issues, adult children of alcoholics and life transition issues (divorce, starting college, becoming a parent).
I have education and training in cognitive therapies, creative modalities, advanced integrative therapy and EMDR. I like to use strength based, action oriented methods. Getting rid of beliefs and behaviors which no longer work can be profoundly healing. I am a Daring Way(tm) facilitator based on the research of Brene Brown.
I am a fellow traveler on this journey, I look for the best resources to support my personal and professional growth. Therapy is an important life investment.
