Practice Description: |
In my practice as a clinical psychologist, I see young adult, adult, and mature adult clients in individual therapy (18+). The clients with whom I work are often experiencing challenges with adjustment to life changes including changes in professional/occupational life, in significant relationships, divorce, personal loss in death or separation, and/or physical compromise of functioning who find a collaborative and respectful relationship in navigating these challenges helpful. In addition, the emotional experience of clients may include anxiety, depression, highly variable moods, and Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity difficulties, that may be negatively impacting their personal and/or professional lives.
I am a compassionate listener, yet a directive therapist as I attempt to facilitate personal exploration and understanding as well as encourage independence in the clients with whom I work. My primary focus is to help facilitate efficient and satisfying progress toward personal goals identified by the client.

Additional Comments: |
While I have over 24 years of experience as a licensed clinical psychologist in private practice, I bring to our therapeutic relationship prior empirical personal experience as an educator, private businessperson, husband, and parent. In addition, I love my profession, the opportunity for life-long learning it demands and the special opportunity to share and be informed by that learning in the therapeutic relationship established with each client. |
