I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with 15 years of experience working with clients in community mental health and adolescent residential treatment settings. I specialize in assisting clients experiencing anxiety, stress, depression, trauma, grief, low self-esteem, identity exploration, education and career transitions, and issues specific to LGBTQIA+ clients.
Feeling anxious, having counterproductive thought patterns, and experiencing trauma can hinder your ability to enjoy life, achieve your goals, and become the person you want to be. Additionally, feeling like you don't belong or are not good enough or deserving of happiness, love, respect, and success can also stand in your way. I believe everyone has strengths and the ability to grow, overcome challenges, and heal, but sometimes, we may need someone to support us on our journey.
As your therapist, I will provide a safe, judgment-free space for you to discover, use, and expand your strengths. Together, we will explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences to help you gain insight and develop coping strategies. I use evidence-based, therapeutic approaches suited to your unique needs, goals, personality, and learning style to help you live life fully and unapologetically.
I provide teletherapy services using secure video teleconferencing for the comfort, convenience, added privacy, and safety of my clients. In my downtime, I enjoy SCUBA diving, swimming, spending time with my dog and cats, exploring nature, learning about bats, crossword puzzles, hula hooping, attending concerts and stand-up comedy, and spending time with my family and friends.
