I find in person therapy to be more effective than virtual therapy, "telehealth." However, in the event of travel or sickness, I'm happy to continue our planned session online! Consistency is one of the essential ingredients to progress, so I feel like telehealth is a valuable addition to how I help.
Session Formats: Individuals
Indoor and Outdoor
Practice Description: My objective is to help you reduce suffering and increase joy. Sometimes we just need someone to care and listen. Other times we need a trained professional to offer up questions, ideas, tools, or knowledge that we haven't tried before. Your situation and your needs are unique to you, so my first job is to listen well and connect with you. Bit by bit we begin to put together the puzzle. Healing happens along the way, and that typically involves feelings! Laughter, crying, yelling, feeling shy or uncomfortable, feeling proud or ashamed... ALL of you is welcome with me. I aim to reconnect you with a deep sense of power, security, love, joy, and selfhood through a variety of means: authentic relating, psychoeducation, experiential exercises, guided meditation, reflecting on the natural world's wisdom, parts work, somatic mindfulness, contemplative inquiry, compassionate presence, and more. I know what it feels like to want to die because my suffering is so great and I also know the feeling of never wanting to die because life is so fun and beautiful! I know how hard it can be to connect with others, succeed in a long term relationship, discover what it means to be a man, be a parent, find your calling or even a good enough career, heal from childhood traumas, and execute lasting change in life. My passion is helping you through these things and whatever is making your heart ache and your stomach burn. One life to live, make the most of it!
