I specialize in working with adolescents on issues such as depression, social-emotional problems, improving self-esteem, assertiveness training, anxiety reducing techniques, anger management, abuse, school conflicts and/or failure, substance abuse, divorce, and family conflicts.
I Believe that developing a strong connection and relationship between client and therapist is essential to working together to resolve the issues. My clients have a primary role in their treatment and are encouraged to actively participate in reaching personal goals.
I have a progressive approach that is easily received by adolescents and parents alike. As a mother of two I understand the daily stressors of parenting and provide parental guidance/coaching to effectively manage emotional and behavioral concerns. I use a family systems approach with cognitive-behavioral & solution focused techniques, including mindfulness training.
In addition to working with adolescents, I also treat adults seeking assistance with life issues, depression, and anxiety. I have over 20 years of experience helping clients navigate the many challenges and stressful issues of life by creating a vision and setting goals that lead to ultimate growth.
