I understand that making the first call to a clinician's office can be nerve-racking and anxiety-producing. Many people do it as a last resort, believing "I thought I could handle this on my own." You don't have to handle it by yourself. Reaching out to a professional counselor is actually a very brave, important step in the process of beginning to heal yourself.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Certified Hypnotherapist. My practice is called Three Steps Forward and I have 2 office locations in Denville and Florham Park, NJ. I have worked extensively with adults individually.
I favor an active approach to therapy, employing cognitive-behavioral techniques. However, the content and tone of each session is tailored to the particular needs of each client. I am trained by Marisa Peer in Rapid Transformational Therapy as well. Counseling is a collaborative process that requires respect, non-judgment and the building of trust.
