Practice Description: |
In my practice, I believe that each person possesses an inherent capacity for growth and healing, no matter the challenges they've faced. Life can be overwhelming at times, especially when dealing with past traumas, anxiety, depression, or relationship struggles. However, I firmly believe that with the right tools, support, and commitment, everyone has the potential to not only survive but thrive.
I take a holistic approach to therapy, integrating both mind and body, because I understand that emotional healing often involves more than just processing thoughts—it also requires acknowledging and addressing how experiences are stored in the body. This is why I use evidence-based modalities like EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Mindfulness-Based Techniques to provide tailored care for each individual.
My goal is to create a safe, non-judgmental, and empowering space where we can work collaboratively toward your goals. Whether you're dealing with trauma, anxiety, depression, or any other emotional struggle, I am here to walk alongside you, using proven techniques to help you understand and navigate your challenges in a supportive environment.
Professional Experience With a Master of Science in Counseling Psychology from California Lutheran University, I have extensive training in providing therapy for individuals facing a wide range of mental health challenges. Over the years, I have specialized in trauma-informed care, particularly through EMDR therapy, which I find incredibly effective for those looking to heal from past trauma or intense emotional experiences.
I have worked with clients dealing with a variety of issues, including:
Trauma & PTSD Anxiety and Panic Disorders Depression and Mood Disorders Grief and Loss Relationship and Family Issues I have a strong belief in the power of personal empowerment and resilience. In every session, I aim to help clients tap into their inner strengths, develop healthy coping strategies, and build a lasting sense of emotional well-being.
Specialties EMDR Therapy: As a Certified EMDR Therapist, I specialize in trauma and PTSD treatment. EMDR helps reprocess traumatic memories and disrupts the emotional and physical patterns associated with them. I’ve seen firsthand how EMDR can create profound, long-term healing for individuals struggling with the impact of trauma.
Anxiety & Depression: Whether you’re managing everyday stress or dealing with chronic anxiety or depression, I use a combination of CBT and Mindfulness to help you develop healthier thinking patterns and coping mechanisms.
Trauma & PTSD: Healing from trauma is possible, and I work with clients to process past events through safe, gentle techniques that allow them to reclaim their lives and move forward with confidence.
Life Transitions & Personal Growth: I also specialize in helping individuals navigate major life transitions, such as career changes, relationship shifts, or loss, providing tools to help them adjust and grow during these challenging periods.
A Collaborative Approach I see therapy as a partnership between client and therapist, where the focus is on your unique needs, goals, and life circumstances. My role is to guide you, but ultimately, you are the expert on your own life. I aim to create an environment where you feel supported and understood, so you can explore, heal, and ultimately reach the best version of yourself.
