Practice Description: |
I have worked extensively with both individual clients and couples. I specialize in helping individuals with the following issues: affective disorders (e.g., depression, bipolar), anxiety disorders (e.g., panic, OCD, social anxiety), and marital issues. I frequently work with helping clients to rapidly resolve past trauma issues, including childhood abuse. I also work with stress issues, health psychology, and sleep problems. The full range of psychological testing, including intelligence testing and personality testing, is also available. I use cognitive-behavioral therapy (i.e., the relationship of thoughts to feelings), as well as brief therapy and EMDR, to assist clients in achieving relatively rapid resolution of their problems and difficulties.
I am now pleased to offer the ease and convenience of online video/telehealth counseling, using a secure, HIPAA-compliant videoconferencing platform. This option is for Florida residents only, and is not covered by insurance. Please call or email me for more information.
I am a Christian, and my faith is of utmost importance in my life. However, I NEVER prosyletize or otherwise "push" the faith issue on my clients indiscriminately. In fact, I have been told by many clients that I am very "nonjudgemental" and "supportive" in my approach to working with them.
