Practice Description: |
My name is Ryan Carroll, and I provide psychotherapy services across California. I specialize in helping individuals and couples navigate relationship challenges, attachment issues, communication, self-trust, purpose, life transformation, self-discovery, and processing childhood/life trauma. My approach is grounded in compassion, mindfulness, and energetic engagement, aiming to foster deep, meaningful change.
In our sessions, we will collaborate closely to establish safety while exploring deeper issues. My Integrative Therapy model is designed to meet your unique needs through various modalities and frameworks:
What makes me unique: I have heard from my clients time and again that I am not what they expect. I am not the stereotype of the therapist who sits back in their seat, nodding and saying “uh huh”. I lean forward and actively engage in their healing process, alternating between providing support and pushing, depending on what’s needed. My orientation is informed by the frameworks below.
Humanistic Frame: This forms the foundation of our work together, creating a space where you feel heard, understood, and accepted as you are, fostering trust and openness for transformative therapy.
Psychodynamic Frame: We explore both conscious and unconscious parts of the psyche, focusing on how past experiences shape present behavior and emotional patterns.
Somatic Therapy: We use movement, breath, and expression to release stored energy and trauma held within the body.
Internal Family Systems (IFS): We work to identify and harmonize different parts of the self, addressing internal conflicts and promoting self-leadership.
Somatic Experiencing: We will reprocess deeply embedded memories, gently moving through your body’s natural healing processes, helping to restore a sense of safety and regulation.
