Hi, My name is Sarah and I am a registered Psychotherapist who provides a warm and inviting space for her clients. Therapy with me starts out with an initial, 15 minute consultation over video or phone. After we both assess our comfort with the other, our sessions are scheduled.
During sessions my clients spend the first 3-4 sessions sharing their family history, current issues, and current symptoms. We then define your treatment goal and move forward from there.
In session my clients can expect a relaxed atmosphere of gentle guidance. I ask you questions to gain clarity or therapeutically relevant insight. The therapy is centered around what you are struggling with today, aiming towards the goal you set for yourself in therapy with appropriate tools and strategies integrated in.
My approach is grounded in the perspective that who we are today is an expression of how we lived when we were younger. Attachment and neurobiology inform my understanding my how my clients have come to experience their situations right now and we lean on this to define moments of healing opportunities and gain deeper clarity of the self.
Each one of my longer-term clients experiences a greater sense of acceptance for who they are today, an appreciation for how they experience their lives right now, and a shift in their understanding of what success can look like moving forward.
