Life can be difficult. There can be challenges that come your way, leaving you feeling “stuck”. Are you struggling with something? Do you need help coping with stress, relationship problems, family and/or employment issues? From time to time people feel depressed or anxious and wish to feel better, more active, more fulfilled. These times in your life may leave you feeling lonely, longing to have someone to talk to who listens and provides support. More importantly, these difficult times and struggles don’t have to last forever. I can help you cope with these difficult times.
I am a solution oriented therapist. I help individuals recognize and build on their strengths along with broadening awareness of self. I provide a supportive and nonjudgmental environment where you can feel safe to work on current and ongoing issues. I am very empathetic and aim to work with individuals towards positive personal growth.
I have extensive training in providing cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) for treatment of ADHD. I am also a trained addictions therapist. I use evidence-based techniques to assist you with life challenges. I have been affiliated with New York State Psychiatric Institute for the past 12 years. During this time at STARS @ Columbia University, I have been working with individuals using short term therapy to overcome their presenting issues.
