Practice Description: You may be feeling stuck or overwhelmed and you've decided to look for a therapist to help. I have worked with many people over the years who started out where you are today and ended up feeling much better. I've had a lot of success working with kids, teens, and adults who were struggling with depression, anxiety, ADHD, trauma, etc. My personal experiences with ADHD, autism, chronic illness, etc. allow me to better understand and help those with similar experiences. My personal experience with the LGBTQ+ community has made me a strong ally. My practice is a place of safety and respect for all.

I view each client as a unique, whole person with both strengths and weaknesses. My practice is holistic, supportive, solution oriented, collaborative, nonjudgmental, and goal directed. Whatever your age may be, child or adult, it's important to me that you come away from each session feeling heard, seen, supported, and accepted.

Therapy interventions I use are based on various theories, including: Client Centered, EMDR Therapy, Systems Family Therapy, Attachment Therapy, Attachment Parenting, etc. EMDR Therapy is particularly helpful with difficulties related to anxiety, trauma, and feeling "stuck". I have 4 years of additional, advanced training in EMDR Therapy with kids and teens. I've been doing EMDR Therapy for over 20 years and it never ceases to amaze me how effective it can be.

I help with many things including Anxiety, Depression, ADHD, Bipolar Disorders, Autistic Spectrum Disorder, PTSD and Trauma, Phobias, Behavior issues, Family problems, emotional issues related to Learning Disabilities and/or Giftedness, as well as the emotional difficulties and medical trauma which can arise during Chronic Illness.

I do individual and family therapy, parent-coaching, assessment for diagnosis, and professional consultations for case review and second opinions.

Additionally, I use my knowledge of Psychoeducational testing and Special Education Law (but I'm not a lawyer) to help parents to navigate the special education system and to effectively advocate for their own children.
