I believe that the therapeutic relationship is foremost in creating a safe space for clients to explore issues, identify patterns of relating, resolve conflicts, find meaning and seek answers. I believe strongly that this relationship coupled with each client's unique history, needs and strengths will help serve as a guide to collaborative treatment. I have more than 30 years of experience working with children, adolescents and families. I have worked extensively with both children and adults dealing with issues such as depression, anxiety, loss and separation, grief, trauma and abuse. I am awed at the resiliency that clients show in the face of crisis, abuse and conflict. My approach is interactive, respectful and client centered, understanding that the decision to enter therapy is not one that is taken lightly, but is often the first step towards the journey that can help establish goals, regain control and move toward a strengthened sense of self and healthier happier relationships.
