Practice Description: |
Cindy Navarrete believes that one must provide a safe and nurturing space to heal and grow. With a dash of humor and a genuine desire to help others, Cindy will create a person-centered, strengths-based approach unique to each person’s life journey. Life can be unpredictable at any stage; providing a safe and nurturing environment can help you and your loved ones create a path to find your inner strengths and promote healing. She enjoys working with adolescents, adults, couples, and families to help them make lasting, meaningful connections.
Cindy utilizes a collaborative approach to addressing your needs and providing you with the space to empower yourself. It is difficult to find the time to work on your own needs with the never-ending demands of day-to-day life, Cindy will provide guidance and support through your healing journey at your own time and pace. Your work together will focus on exploring the strengths and vulnerabilities that can help you conquer your past, present, and future challenges. Cindy Navarrete has a Master of Social Work Degree, with an emphasis in Mental Health and Trauma, from the University of Denver. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology, with a minor in Ethnic Studies, from the University of Colorado at Boulder. Cindy utilizes an array of techniques from Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Existential Psychology, Exposure Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, Trauma-Informed Care, Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Strengths-Based Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). She is an empathetic and caring individual with 10+ years of experience helping, guiding, and supporting individuals and families. Cindy has extensive experience working with adults, teens, support for caregivers caring for children with IDD/Autism, and individuals with cognitive/intellectual disabilities and autism spectrum disorders. She works with a variety of mental health conditions such as anxiety, depression, parenting, identity explorations, suicidal and self-harming behaviors, relationships, attachment issues, marriage/couples therapy, blended families, eating disorders, stress reduction, work/life balance, life transitions, trauma-related disorders such as PTSD, complex trauma, generational trauma, sexual, physical, emotional abuse across the life span, setting boundaries, grief and loss, self-esteem, and anger management.
