Dr. Levine earned a Ph.D. degree from the APA (American Psychological Association) Accredited doctoral program at Hofstra University in NY.
Dr. Levine then completed a 2-year Post Doctoral Fellowship in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) at Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia, PA. Many psychologists simply begin treating patients fresh out of graduate school, while some choose to undergo Post-Doctoral Fellowship training first. Again, this is not required in order to obtain a license, so many simply skip this advanced training.
Prior to moving to LA in 2011, Dr. Levine served as the Chief Psychologist at Mt Sinai South Nassau Medical Center in NY. He achieved the very extraordinary distinction of serving on the Editorial Board of the prestigious Journal of Behavior Therapy & Experimental Psychiatry.
Dr. Levine worked as a Clinical Psychologist for the hit TV series "Hoarders" on the A&E Television Network. Shortly after arriving in California, Dr. Levine began serving as a Clinical Psychologist at the UCLA School of Medicine. He specializes in anxiety, panic, depression, relationship, pain-related, stress, OCD and post-traumatic disorders plus social, marital, sleep and assertiveness problems. His approach is Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy.
You will find his approach to dealing with your concerns to be sensitive, competent, caring, concerned and supportive. He offers TELEHEALTH (Video-Chat) INTERNET & PHONE SESSIONS to residents of CA, HI, FL, KS and NY. You will have the added security of knowing that he has 30+ years of experience as a clinical psychologist. To further protect your privacy, you will NEVER be forced to speak with a secretary, answering service or receptionist. Dr. Levine will always answer the phone himself. Beginning in 2025, Dr. Levine will be primarily located in Savannah, GA but will continue to offer Telehealth psychotherapy to clients in CA, HI, FL, NY and KS.. You can expect the same high level of care whether he is physically located on the east or west coast at the time of your visit.
