Practice Description: |
The love of people called me into this profession. I've had the privilege of working with thousands of individuals, and hope to provide you with the best professional services available. I am committed to advancing my clinical education and knowledge in the expanding field of mental health.
My compassion and empathy for those who suffer emotionally, combined with my clinical experience are what I hope will make a difference in the quality of your life. My practice focuses on adults, teens, children and family therapy.
I am a EMDR Certified Therapist by EMDRIA, and I have a special interest in those who have suffered trauma and disturbing memories. I've had the unique opportunity to work in the entertainment industry, having over 200 local and national talk show appearances, speaking on depression, anxiety, family relationships, and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
EMDR stands for Eye Movement Desensitizatiion and Reprocessing and is a breakthrough in the mental health field, having helped over two million people who have suffered from disturbing memories from the past and/or traumatic events.
In addition to EMDR, I have a focus on Addictions, and worked at Kaiser Perm. in Addiction Medicine. I completed a Residency in Training at the Betty Ford Center in Palm Desert CA. As well, I treat eating disorders, anger issues and Victims of Crime. I also offer Phone Counseling.

Nothing . . . absolutely nothing can stop problems from assaulting each of us on our life journey. And little can prepare us for the times when the dark side of life thrusts us onto an unexpected course.
As a therapist, my career has lead me to challenging paths, offering fascinating experiences in the entertainment industry while appearing on national talk shows. Working with celebrities in my private practice revealed the world of stardom, fame or fortune provides no immunity from emotional pain.
One thing I have learned . . . whether you suffer from a broken heart or a wounded soul, you sit in the audience or stand on the stage, the sooner you heal, the sooner you will smile again. |
