Practice Description: |
Life is full of opportunities to love. Love is first and foremost. Without love there is a void, which only expands, if not addressed. Everyone has the desire to be loved and to share love. What happens when we forget to take the time to love ourselves? You must first learn to love yourself, then you create a ripple that touches everyone. You have the power within you. Make a start and heal yourself first.
Jamie Lard truly believes that taking one small step towards self-love is one giant step to healing ourselves, healing our families, and healing our communities. Jamie believes that counseling can be effective in exploring numerous ideas for healing. The journey begins with you.
Jamie Lard holds a Master of Social Work Degree from Texas A&M University – Commerce, Texas. He also earned a Bachelor of Social Work Degree from Texas A&M University – Central Texas. Jamie employs a holistic and integrative approach to therapy. He utilizes an array of approaches to serve his clients, including: Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Existential Therapy, Strength-Perspective Therapy, Solution-Focus Brief Therapy (SFBT), Trauma-Informed Care, Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), and Mindfulness and Awareness Techniques.
Jamie has been involved in helping and supporting people for more than 7 years, when he began counseling all ages and populations, while simultaneously mentoring youths and adults. That interest led him to seek an advanced degree in clinical social work. Jamie has extensive experience working with children, adolescents, and adults. He has helped his clients overcome challenges, addictions, individual trauma and abuse, and break the cycle of self-sabotaging.
