I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the neighborhood of Logan Square in Chicago offering private therapy sessions. I believe in the notion that individuals are the foremost authorities on the inner workings of their own lives and additionally within each and every person is a capacity for growth. My job in this regard is to be the person who helps you find a path to solutions around what may be blocking you from reaching a fully enriching life. I use the methods of Strengths Based, Client-Driven, and Person-Centered talk therapy to reach these outcomes.
Due to the unique nature of human experience I have had the most effective results in providing individualized attention and care to tailoring therapy specifically for each client I have served. People enter therapy for varieties of purposes, of which I am certain you have your very own. Sometimes folks seek therapy to address a definitive or grave issue for a specific amount of time, whereas others benefit from longer term continued support. It is important for me to come to understand the dynamic nature of with whom I am working. I can assist you in determining and achieving what treatment goals are most important to you.
My background is that I studied social work at both the Bachelor's and Master's levels at Loyola University Chicago and The Jane Addams College of Social Work respectively. Since 2010 I have had the privilege of working in a variety of settings in and around the city of Chicago including high acuity inpatient behavioral health treatment, crisis work in emergency rooms, and outpatient substance abuse and behavioral health treatment settings. These roles have afforded me the opportunity to interact with people from all walks of life and varying experiences.
