Practice Description: |
Nicole Kucera believes in creating a space where everyone can take a breath and be truly seen without judgment. Therapy is not a linear process, but when met with respect, dignity, and support, everyone can achieve their goals. Using a strength-based and client-centered approach, Nicole welcomes and encourages collaboration throughout the therapy journey. With bravery and perseverance everyone can dream, feel connected, and thrive.
Nicole Kucera has a Master of Arts Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Iowa. She received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology with minors in Social Work and Leadership Studies from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. She utilizes a variety of techniques, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy, and Existential Therapy.
Nicole has been helping support individuals in her communities for the past five years. She has worked in many different settings with a diverse range of clients. Nicole emphasizes personal empowerment and, at times, brings a sarcastic nature into the therapy space.
When Nicole is not at Foundations, you can find her exploring Colorado, after relocating here from Illinois. She has a sense of adventure and loves to hike, read, play board games, skydive, travel, and spend time tending to her plants.
