Practice Description: |
I am experienced at helping individuals and couples who are dissatisfied with or want to improve their relationships, work or family life. Loss and grief, life transitions, couple issues (including impending marriage, difficult communication, infidelity, separation/divorce), illness, parenting, the illness or impairment of family members, anxiety, self-defeating patterns and other life stresses create the need for an ally who can help you find your strengths and work toward the change you seek. Perhaps you have experienced the extra burden which the Covid-19 pandemic added to even the "ordinary" complications of life, relationships and work.
My approach is collaborative, warm and respectful. As a licensed psychologist for more than 25 years, I provide a safe and relaxed atmosphere so that my clients are free to talk about their concerns, address their symptoms, clarify their dilemmas, begin to resolve them and feel better.
I also offer professional supervision and case consultation to menthal health professionals.
In addition to my own practice, I have worked with college and graduate students for over 25 years at the Brandeis University Psychological Counseling Center. As Training Director at Brandeis, I supervised scores of clinicians in training, teaching what I value about psychotherapy and the hope it offers for change.
