Practice Description: |
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Certified Traumatologist who specializes in treating mood disorders, PTSD, and relationship issues as well as helping individuals through domestic abuse issues and multicultural difficulties. I enjoy working with individuals and couples as they courageously begin the counseling process helping them grow in their relationship with self and others. I offer these services in both Italian and Spanish.
I received my Master’s degree in Community Counseling from The George Washington University with emphasis in cross-cultural issues. During the last 20 years, I have counseled and trained short term international sojourners as well as permanent immigrants who reside in the greater Washington, D.C. area.
In addition, I had the opportunity to develop and teach various workshops which include the following areas: Anger Management, Parenting, IT TAKES TWO, Healthy Marriage Relationships, Self-Esteem and Career Change. These workshops have been conducted in both English and Spanish.
For the last 15 years, I have successfully conducted support groups for international and Latin American women with the purpose of helping acculturate, support and encourage them as they adjust to life in the USA.
