About Me

Hi. I’m Kim Michael, and welcome to my practice.

I have completed my Masters in Counselling Psychology (MACP) and I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying). Through my own personal life experiences, I built an awareness and understanding early on of how the human psyche works, and how external factors play a significant role in impacting one’s life. I adopted effective techniques and strategies for healing myself emotionally, physically, and spiritually which provides me the unique ability to understand and connect with you. Seeking out mental health treatment is never an easy task, many of us are conditioned to suffer in silence. This may be your first attempt at seeking out therapy or you may have done this before, the fact that you are here now is the bravest step you are taking to control your life, make the right decisions, live to your full potential, and most importantly heal from your past and present experiences.

My Approach

I offer a judgment-free, safe space where your safety, privacy, and confidentiality are paramount.

My approach is based on empathic listening, compassion, trust, acceptance, and collaboration. Together, I can help you understand how exposure to social conditioning, family dynamics, culture, trauma, etc. can impact our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. My practice reflects my unique skills of building a connection and establishing a therapeutic alliance with you, emphasizing evidence-based treatments to help address any mental health concerns you have. My focus in working with you is to help you achieve your goals and empower you with the right tools and techniques that can be carried from our therapy sessions back into your everyday life.
